David and Eliza Gilliland from Comber.
Date of photograph unknown.
It is believed that they were able to
celebrate their Golden Wedding!
Between 1841 and 1851 David
Gilliland, with his mother and 3 brothers
John, James and Hugh, shifted from the
Comber area to West Rainton in County Durham.
His mother was a widow, his father was
James, a stone-mason. Whatever
evidence there is suggests James died
before these family members left.
