Very much involved in community and Church activities, an excellent caller at Square Dances, which gave great pleasure to the many people who attended these functions. A natural leader much respected and loved by the entire community. Kathleen stood in local elections as a member of the Alliance Party in Ards West, Strangford constituancy
Kathleen was very much involved with the Ards Development Bureau & Community Network prior to 1999.
The service of thanksgiving for the life of Kathleen was held in St Mary's Parish Church Comber conducted by the Rev, Sam Johnston. The hymns were "I heard the voice of Jesus say." and "Guide me O thou great Jehovah."
